Christopher is the President - CEO of the International Forum for Democratic Global Governance (, a southern-based global civil society NGO working to strengthen the influence of Southern civil society in all debates and activities affecting global governance. 

Previously, he was the Principal Research Fellow in the Department of Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, UK, where his interest was on the future of the international humanitarian system. He has also lead emergency humanitarian field operations in 14 complex emergencies in 24 countries for MSF, Red Cross, CARE, etc (e.g., Rwanda Genocide 1994). 

He also served as the Programme Manager of the International Peace and Security Cluster at the UN Staff College and Senior Policy Advisor for human security to the Canadian Government at the UN Security Council, UNGA, G7-G8, EU, OECD-DAC, etc. He has completed +750 news interviews and consulted in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, London and New York.
